Foxy Fashions Recap & Outfits Under $100!

Hello Sunday!

Since I am quite the procrastinator this post has taken longer to put together than I would have liked!

Woops!  I’m sure you will forgive my tardiness………. being the awesome people that you are!

So where to start?

A couple of weeks ago I shared with you all some fantastic bargains I had found on my usual shopping adventures. Today I want to share with you how I styled my outfits using some of those bargains I found!

Here goes!

Boho Chic

  • Boyfriend Jeans $19.95 (sale) from Valley Girl teamed with $6 Singlet K-mart & Kimono $10 (sale) Factorie. Hat $10 from eBay.

Total $53.50

Tres Cool

  • Same Boyfriend Jean teamed with Tres Cool tee-shirt $8 Big W and hat I’ve had for a couple of years. I have found similar hats at Valley Girl, Factorie and most major retailers ( Target, Myer, Big W )

Total $45.50

For both outfits I am wearing white lace-up’s from Big W brought on sale for $7.50 normal retail is $10.

Next up a plain black jumpsuit. Styled for a casual day out or for something more dressed up.

As you can see this is a very versatile look. I love this jumpsuit, it was such a great bargain find and even though you may not be able to find one for the same price there are plenty of plain pant suits in stores right now. Most I have seen range between $19.95 up to $39.95 if you don’t want to spend a fortune! Have a look at Valley Girl ( I also purchased one there last year! ) Target, Tempt or Best and Less.

Casual Jumping

  • Black Jumpsuit $10 K-mart worn with $10 Hat and White Lace-up’s $7.50 Big W with Tassle necklaces gifted by my sister, purchased in Bali!

Total $27.50 ( No Way!! )

Dress Me Up

  • Same jumpsuit worn with thrifted Tan Sandals $6 and a simple Flower necklace.

Total $16 ( Again No Way!! )

I was so thrilled to find the tan sandals and I think they will feature very heavily in my spring / summer wardrobe. Again, if you don’t find any from a thrift shop there are many styles available in store. I would recommend K-mart, Big W, Rubi Shoes or Asos.

Something else I found last week was a gorgeous silver necklace from Colette for $8.50. This is such a great piece for bringing a bit of dazzle to a simple black top.

I am wearing a black top purchased from Ally Fashion. I love the sparkles on the shoulder and I think the necklace adds another dimension!

Dazzling!
Dazzling!

I love finding a bargain as I’ve said many times before. I am a firm believer that you absolutely do not have to spend a fortune to look good! What you put with your outfit and how you ‘dress’ it up can change the whole look of an outfit. I like to experiment with different jewellery, scarves, heels or handbags.

This is one of the main reasons why I enjoy taking part in style dares. They are a great way to shop your own wardrobe and put together looks you may not have thought to try.

Here are the Fox in Flats looks from the last two weeks. Two looks in particular I want to mention are from week 2.

Safari and Ladylike

The shirt I’m wearing for Safari is one I picked up about eighteen months ago, wore once and put back in the wardrobe! Something I’m sure we have all done. I was wondering what on earth to wear for this prompt when I re-discovered this baby and I have no doubt I’ll wear it again soon!

With Ladylike these are items I regularly wear, however I would never had thought to wear this shirt with that skirt! So again shopping your own wardrobe and thinking a little outside your comfort zone could bring some really fantastic results!

  1. Loved your fox in flats looks! Looking at this made me realise I missed yesterday’s LBD prompt WOOPS! Will have to catch up at the end of the month.

Also, loving that kimono! Can’t believe it was so cheap. You’re a bargain queen x

    1. Haha thanks Em! I’m not surprised you missed the prompt with how busy you’ve been with TFF. I’m loving all your pic’s on IG……I get to live vicariously through you!!

      1. Yes I would have liked to but son’s footy presentation and some family time was on the agenda yesterday! If the weather was better today I would have definitely come down! x

  2. WOW!! I’m impressed. I want it all! I’m guessing I don’t have your height to pull of the jumpsuit but gosh at that price I’m tempted to give it a go. Thanks so much for joining our Outfit Under $100 challenge, you are now in the draw to score yourself $100 to go towards your next outfit. 🙂
