Friday Fashion

Today I’m linking up with Vicki from The Fashionable Mum for her brand new link up Fashionomics Friday!

By now you all know how much I love a bargain and that’s what this link up is all about. Showcasing your latest thrifty find, your bargain buys! You know the stuff…… it calls out toΒ meΒ you in the shops ‘buy me buy me, I’m on special!’

This is actually a really timely post for me to link up because I have found some fab bargains in the last fortnight. Let’s get crack-a-lackin!

Last week I popped into my local Salvo’s store on Russell Rd Morley. I was on the lookout for a couple of cheap dresses to help with my #frocktober endeavour but alas it was just not to be in the dress department! As I headed out the door something spotty caught my eye and this cute Target top for $5 was the end result…

I have teamed it with the following items

  • Valley Girl Ripped Jeans $19.95 ( bought on sale about a month ago )
  • K-mart Straw Handbag $12 Current Stock
  • Best & Less Sandals $5 ( bought on sale about a month ago )
  • Necklace which I believe was from Lovisa

I didn’t have time to swap bags so I kept the straw handbag with me and I’m actually really glad I did, I think it works great this outfit. I’ve had so many compliments on this bag and have even inspired a couple of IG friends to buy one too!

Next is one of the best shops everrrrrr! Any guesses as to where I may be talking about…….

K-MARNI otherwise known as K-mart!

This dress came up on my Facebook feed and I knew I just had to have it ( and the shoes! )

The MUST have dress for summer….. Yep I’m calling it because I’m such an ‘in the know’ fashionista!

Super comfy. On trend. Easy to wear .Must have.

  • $10 K-mart Striped Dress ( for a funtastic nautical look )

Worn with either $10 slides from K-mart or $10 Lace-up’s from Big W

Now lastly I’m going to mention two shopping haunts of mine!

One of them fellow Perth peeps may be aware of ( if you live NOR that is! ) And one that I just recently discovered.

Firstly Target at Stirling Central on Wanneroo Rd Westminster. This shopping centre has a standard Target store which I have found to be really useful. As it is a reasonably quiet centre it is the best place to go when Target has a catalogue sale . If you go early the stock is almost always there and you don’t have to fight crowds to get to the good stuff! Handy with Christmas just around the corner. There is also a Target clearance store set up in the centre. I will admit that sometimes the shop can be a bit hit and miss but like anywhere you have to go regularly and just keep an eye out.

I went to Stirling this week and found a number of items which will feature in future posts but basically for $47 I found the following

  • 2 x Ladies dresses $7 each
  • 1 x Denim skirt $5 for Miss 13
  • 1 x Denim spot shorts $7 for Miss 13
  • 1 x Ladies Cami Singlet $7
  • Striped Flats $14

The other shop is located in the Morley Markets ( not Coventry Markets ) and is called Jaleens Gifts. Not the type of shop I would usually look at but I had some free time so I popped in. Again this is a hit & miss kind of place but I was pleasantly surprised with some of the clothes there. Here’s one of the items I ended up with

  • Billions & Trillions Dress $9
  • Target Striped Flats mentioned above $14

I really like this dress with the T-bar back detail and I thought it would be perfect for throwing on over bathers in the summer.

So there you have it!

My bargain buys for this week’s Fashionomics Friday! Head over to The Fashionable Mum and check out other great linked up posts.

Have a great weekend

    1. I don’t go to Stirling as much as I used to, when the kids were younger I would go all the time because it was so quiet! I love that clutch too, I’ve been selling it to heaps of people. K-mart should should start paying me!

  1. Malinda, you are indeed the bargain queen this week, fabulous haul! I saw that stripey dress in K-Marni – how long is it? Is it an “ugly knee coverer” lol? x

    1. Hahaha thanks Vicki, maybe I should change my blog name………

The dress, well I actually ended up taking it back and getting a bigger size as the one I had originally seemed a bit short! So now it’s just above my knee πŸ˜‰

    1. I buy such a ridiculous amount of stuff at K-mart! The range is just getting too good across the whole store. I love when you’ve looked everywhere for something and then find it straight away at K-mart, winning xx

  2. I love your style and your bargain pick-ups. It’s great to get the nod that you can look good on less. I think I’d like to come shopping with you πŸ™‚

    1. Haha thanks Jo! I would love to take you shopping, sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time! But you definitely don’t have to spend a ton of money to look nice x
