Pizza Pizza Pizza!!
I don’t know about you but pizza is one of my all time favorite foods…… when done right!
Theo Kalogeracos is THE undisputed KING of pizza in Perth, owner of Little Caesars Pizzeria Mundaring. Multiple award winner and hand on heart one of the nicest most genuine people you will ever meet. I have been fortunate enough to know Theo, his beautiful wife Liz and handsome son Chaz for many years through his brother and sister in law Tasso & Trinity.
Last night I was invited along to the family and friends opening of Theo’s new venture Theo & Co’s Pizzeria, located at 838 Albany Hwy, East Victoria Park.
This place just oozes industrial charm! What was once the home of Balmoral Cycles is now a cool urban hangout sure to be a hit with the locals and anyone who love fantastic quality pizza!. The lighting and use of timber throughout the restaurant is perfect. Theo’s brother Tasso has done a very impressive job of creating sprawling jarrah benches and floors.
One of my favorite features is the can wall! Such a clever idea to provide screening from the restrooms when patrons dine in the fabulous cow hide booths located at the rear of the restaurant.
There is such an array of quirky features spread across the restaurant mixed with the feeling of stepping into your Nonna’s kitchen to whip up some dough! I love the stack of flour bags upon arrival and mixers displayed on the wall!
Now for the important stuff….. PIZZA
You are spoiled for choice with the wide range of savoury and dessert pizza’s.
You can choose from
As well as a selection of pasta and salads. Gluten free bases and soy cheeses are also available. Add to that the ‘Ever Changing Moods’ menu where newly released pizza’s are available for a limited time…… the only problem you will have is choosing which one to have and making sure you have room for the dessert pizzas!
Here’s what I had last night. Usually when the kids are with us we have The Max (The Lot) and an Aloha pizza. I branched out and had the hugely popular Greek Lamb and Per-Peri Prawn, just quietly the Pork Belly pizza is insanely good!
And because my night would never be complete without chocolate, I give you the Mudhoney dessert pizza.
Every bit as decadent and delicious as it looks! Next time I’m going to have the Sticky Fingers ( sticky date pudding topped with dates, white choc pieces, ice cream and caramel sauce! ) Heck Yeah!
Theo and Liz have done an amazing job with this space and I have no doubt Theo & Co Pizzeria will be a hugely successful venture for them. I wish them and their families all the very best and I thank them for their hospitality last night!
Theo & Co officially opens this evening from 5pm till late. Get on it you won’t be disappointed!
