OH. MY. GOD.
Wow what a whirlwind couple of weeks it has been. Sorry for my lack of posts but time has just run away from me!
So here I am ready to spill the beans from the aptly named ‘Festival of Malinda’ ( as one gorgeous friend referred to my celebrations ) Even hubby asked why my birthday lasted weeks!
I have to start by saying how grateful I am to have a wonderful group of people in my life, both family and friends and to thank each and every one of them for making such lovely memories with me!
I won’t bore you with the details of each and every dinner, lunch or coffee date ( there were a few! ) who am I kidding of course I will!!
For my actual birthday I had lunch with my friend of 30 years and her super cute eight month old daughter at local cafe Esprezzo . The food here especially brunch is amazing. A pretty quite night followed with Mr 11 having footy practice and Mr Style playing indoor soccer.
Friday Mr Style had the day off work so we could spend time together before I headed to my much needed hair appointment. Another perfect Perth day saw us head to the beach for coffee and cake at The Fig in Scarborough.
Friday night after booking months in advance the time had finally come to dine at Jamies Italian with my family. I loved everything about this place. Great food, atmosphere and fun company! For dessert we headed next door to Koko Black……. a chocolate lovers paradise!
By now I really wasn’t interested in any more food but we still had a weekend to get through….
So Mr Style and I dropped the kids at my sister and brother in-laws and with much reluctance ( yeah right! )
bolted made our way to Crown Metropol Perth for a weekend of uninterrupted conversations, relaxation, spa’s and generally doing whatever we felt like!
What an amazing weekend that was! I had so much fun on Friday night with my sister and brother. I was also lucky enough to have my nephew fly over from Sydney for my birthday and his which is the day before mine! I had a blast hanging out with hubby which is something we haven’t done for a long time.
Just when you think that must be end of all the celebrations……. On Monday I had a lunch date with another gorgeous friend! We decided to try out Tropico in North Beach. Another cafe that didn’t disappoint!
Ahhhhhhh can you feel that?
That’s my tired, once 39 year old body telling me to stop eating in particular and to rest up because GIRLS NIGHT was still yet to happen!
Oh dear lord…
Yep Saturday night just gone it was on again! My lovely girlfriends had organised a night out for yours truly. I had no idea where we going and only hoped it wouldn’t involve boats or strippers. Hallelujah, not a ferry or bare backside in sight, although there was water! I was treated ( and spoilt ) to dinner at Matisse Beach Club. WOW this place was fab and I had the BEST time with an amazing group of ladies I’m very happy to call my friends.
And that finally is a wrap!
Are you as exhausted reading it as I was living it. I’m glad birthdays only come once a year because I am worn out and fear I will be rolling toward 41!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to everyone who celebrated with me, messaged me, phoned or sent birthday wishes on Facebook & Instagram. I have been truly touched and blown away by all the love.
Don’t even get me started on the amazing presents!
