Week Three – Cape it Away!

Hello Friday you awesome thing!

You may have noticed that there is a little trend happening this winter season….

It’s the blanket cape or wrap!

A great alternative to a scarf with the added bonus of being super warm and snugly.

So how can you wear a wrap without looking like you literally left the house with your favourite blankie wrapped around you?

I’ve put some looks together featuring two wraps that caught my eye and sharing my tips for looking great and staying warm while wrapped up…

Love love these gold ring sets {Lovisa $12.99}

{Cotton On Blanket Wrap – $29.95}

I’ve added bright accessories and a striped top for this look just to beak up the colours and I’ve cinched in the waist with a belt.

Next I’m breaking out the double denim and leaving the wrap loose and free flowing…

( Like a warm hug from mum! )

If that’s a little too out there for you the next wrap is more demure and not as bulky as the Cotton On wrap making it easier to work with…

This look I’ve kept very simple with black jeans and black long sleeve top. I’ve added a great chunky silver necklace I found at Millers and ankle booties.

{Arya Ombre Wrap – Jeans West $49.95 / Crossroads Ankle Booties $34.95 & Millers Necklace $15.00}

Wrap, tie or leave loose! I love that these wraps can be tailored to suit your mood.

The last look is a favourite of mine with the classic white shirt making another appearance and a pop of colour in the shoes…

A really simple chic look,  just add a statement bag and shoes.

Check out these gorgeous wraps available from Cockburn Gateway Shopping City…

    1. Thank you! I think you just have to find one that you’re comfortable in. If it feels too much like a blanket that you’re lugging around it’s probably not the one for you! Which is why a great scarf is also another good option x
