Week One – Warm Up For Winter

Hello again lovely people!

Let me ask… do you like winter?

I do!

In fact I absolutely love it,  and one of my most favorite items of clothing for winter is a snugly cardigan. There is nothing better than curling up on the couch in an over sized knit drinking a cup of tea, or is that just me?

For this post I’m sharing two easy looks you can achieve with one cardigan and showing you that a cardigan can be dressed up or down.

Today I’m featuring a gorgeous long line cardigan from Crossroads. I love the pastel pink colour and long length. I also love that it has pockets!

I’ve opted for a neutral colour palette for the dressed up look using a lovely pair of nude heels from Spendless Shoes , jewellery from Colette and bag from Best and Less. The sleeveless knit dress I am wearing comes from Cotton On. I’m a little out of my comfort zone in this dress as it’s quite fitted but I’m loving it with the long cardi and its super comfy!

 { Cotton On Kellie Muscle Midi – Dress $19.95 / Crossroads Cardigan $44.95 / Spendless Shoes Nude Heels $49.95 / Colette Necklace and Cuff $12.95 each / Best & Less Handbag $25.00 }

Here is a closer look at the beautiful jewellery and nude heels…

For look number two I’m thinking of those rainy days curled up on the couch with a cuppa. If you’ve been following my style then you would know how much I love a slogan tee and the one I’m wearing from Supre ticks all the boxes, especially on a Friday! Put on your favourite pair of ripped jeans, (these are from my own wardrobe) comfy shoes and you’re ready to go……. or stay on the couch!

{ Crossroads Cardigan $44.95 / Supre Slogan Tee $12.00 / Best & Less Lace-up’s $12.00 }

Whether your heading out for a girlie lunch, date night with someone special or just relaxing at home a super snugly cardi will see you through those winter days or nights.

Layer up your cardigan with a bright scarf or necklace to add a pop of colour. Pair it with jeans, simple white t-shirt and statement clutch or heels.

The possibilities are endless at Cockburn Gateway Shopping City so get your shopping shoes on and have fun!

New Season Knitwear with Philosophy Australia

One of the most humbling experiences you can have through blogging (in my opinion) is being asked to work with a brand.

I was more than a little excited when Natalie from Philosophy Fashion Australia asked if I would like to join the Philosophy family, working together to showcase their stunning 2015 Winter Knitwear Collection featuring the label Capullo.

Capullo meaning Cocoon in Spanish, is a limited edition range of beautifully crafted knitwear….. are you feeling cosy yet because I certainly am!

I love the edgy, geometric designs of this range and think the pieces would be a welcome addition to any wardrobe given their versatility. The Capullo label also uses a mix of light to heavy gauges making layering simplistic and accessible.

For this post I have gone with a very monochromatic palette but rest assured there is colour to be found in the range as well as animal, flora, tile and spot designs, definitely something for every taste.

Take a look for yourself…

Popcorn Biker Jacket

A beautiful zip front jacket that I have opted to leave open and worn over a simple black jumpsuit. I think this look works really well for a night out but for something more casual the Popcorn Biker Jacket would also look great with jeans, boots and a pop of colour worn underneath. This is a lovely heavy gauge knit and super comfortable to wear.

Spacedye Top

As you can see the pieces in the Capullo range have such great pattern and design that minimal fuss is required to create a beautiful outfit. Pairing the Spacedye Top with simple black pants, heels and a fun scarf is all that you need for a comfortable work outfit or meetings with a client.

What I really loved about the Spacedye knit was the amazing zip detail on the sleeve as shown above! So gorgeous and edgy.

Zig Top

I absolutely could not resist having a little fun with the Zig Top! I mean look at it…. I love a clash of prints so this top caught my eye straight away. The fun factor is in overdrive for this one. Wearing a collared shirt underneath for that on trend preppy look with leggings and lace -up’s. It’s the must have outfit for watching the kids sports from the sidelines or catching up with family and friends on the weekend! (gigantic Minnie Mouse-esque head scarf is optional!)

Zig Top*/ Ally Fashion Shirt / Factorie Leggings/Big W Lee Cooper Lace-ups.

I hope you love this collection as much as I did. The feel of these knits is pure luxury. I think the quality and classic design offer great value for money and as I have previously said there are certain garments worth spending money on to ensure they remain in your wardrobe for years! This range is exceptionally well crafted and would be a very adaptable addition to your wardrobe for more than one season
