Roll Up, Roll Up to INFAMOUS – Adult Circus Cabaret

Screen Shot 2017-06-14 at 9.25.31 AM.png

Hello everyone!

I know it’s been a long time between posts but I’m popping in today to let you know about the awesome high energy show that is INFAMOUS – Adult Circus Cabaret

Last Friday night hubby and I were invited along to opening night under the Spiegel Big Top and we had a really great time!

Now this is no ordinary circus performance, for a start there’s no animals! But what you do get is close to two hours of thrilling acrobats, singers, dancers and a lot of laughs.

I’ve always loved going to circus performances and I’m blown away by the athleticism of the performers. Infamous delivers just the right amount of thrilling stunts to keep you on the edge of your seat, the trapeze act at the end of the show was brilliant!

Hubby and I both loved the contortionist act (I’m still trying to get my head around how a person can be so flexible!)  while jugglers, dancers and comedians bring the skills and adults only humour.

Infamous runs for a limited time in Perth before heading over east…

And I hear shows are selling quickly so get in while you can!

There’s a wonderfully warm atmosphere under the big top with drinks and snacks  available at the show, personally I couldn’t pass up a little hot popcorn on a cold night!

All in all the show is a fab night out, perfect for date night. There’s lots of eye candy for a girls or guys night out and it’s great to see Perth’s own Cosima De Vito strutting her stuff and flexing those amazing vocal chords of hers!

Big big thanks to Alligator Media for having us on the night, we LOVED it!

Introducing eShakti

Hello beauties,

Today  I’m sharing my fabulous new dress from eShakti

It’s no secret that I love dresses but like a lot of ladies I’ve struggled at times to find the perfect dress, one that ticks all the boxes.

How many times have you fallen in love with a dress only to find yourself wishing it was longer or shorter, had a v-neck instead of a round neck, tie straps or wide straps, longer sleeves!

What if you could customise the size specifically to your measurements and tweak those finishing touches to make it your own……well thanks to eShakti you can!

The *dress I chose (and believe me when I say there were many to choose from) is a bustier style cotton midi dress in navy.

I made only minor adjustments to the dress because I really loved it the way it was!

I changed the length from ankle length to mid calf and had the straps altered to be tie up as I like the detail it adds to the dress. You can have the pockets removed, but honestly why would you!! The only alteration I made once I received the dress was to remove a bow that was stitched to the waistband, I like to wear belts with dresses so this was in the way for me.

Hubby helped me with the measurements, I would suggest asking someone to help. In the end I didn’t use my exact measurements opting instead to go by the sizing chart, I was really really impressed that the dress fit so perfectly (I was a little skeptical as how it would go because of the bustier style at the top of the dress) The quality of the dress is also exceptional!

I wore the dress out for brunch for my brothers birthday on a scorching hot Perth day. To add a little interest to the dress I added this gold rose detail belt and straw bag both found at the Salvo’s along with my ever present Valley Girl hat and Lovisa earrings!

The ordering and delivery really impressed me as well, in total I waited two and half weeks for the dress to arrive. I received an email notification to say the dress had been shipped and it was on my doorstep two days later!

You can see more success stories by taking a peak at these gorgeous ladies in their eShakti frocks, all look amazing!

I can’t fault the service or the finished product I was presented with, definitely a website I would happily buy from again and recommend to others. There is a huge range of styles to suit every occasion from formal dresses to tops and skirts and workwear.

Let me know if give eShakti a try or if you already have! I would love to hear your thoughts…

Until next time,

Smiley Miley Review

What is Smiley Miley I hear you ask?

From the name you would probably guess it has something to do with teeth, and you would of course be right!

I asked if I would like to review the *Smiley Miley Teeth Whitening Kit as part of their new campaign #becausecoffeehappens

Whilst I’m not a huge coffee drinker like I used to be ( tea is my beverage of choice nowadays) I have no doubt years of coffee drinking contributed to my smile being less than snow white.

So naturally I jumped at the chance to give the kit a go…

Let’s start by taking a look at what is included in the kit

4 x Whitening Gel / 3 x Mouth Trays / 1 x Mini LED Light / 1 x Desensitisation Gel / Instruction Manual + Shade Guide (not shown)

After following the instructions on molding the mouth trays to suit, I was ready to start to start my Smiley Miley journey!

Here’s what I found….

The kit itself is easy to use, with very explanatory instructions. The mouth trays whilst not terrible to wear can get a little uncomfortable. I found they didn’t mold to my teeth enough for my liking, then when you add in the mini LED light to speed up the whitening process suddenly there’s a lot of apparatus in your mouth!

I found the best way to deal with this was to keep busy, I would tidy up the house or do any other chores that need doing. I’m actually wearing the mouth trays whilst I write it this! I suggest finding something to distract yourself with for the recommended time of 15 – 20 mins with the light, followed by a further 15 – 20 mins (the TOTAL recommended time is 30 -40 mins) You can understand why I chose to keep busy!

Once you have completed the time, remove the mouth trays and give your teeth a gentle brush. Any residual sensitivity can be remedied by using the desensitisation gel, simply use the gel in the same way as the whitening gel but without the LED light.

Rinse mouth trays when your finished until the next application!

Make sure you’ve decided to use the kit at an appropriate time as it’s recommended that you not eat or drink anything with strong colour within 2 hours (tea, coffee, chocolate) and no smoking.

Here are a couple more FAQ’s from the Smiley Miley website

  • For optimal results, use twice daily for 30-40 minutes over 7 consecutive days. The blue gel (remineralisation gel) is to be used after whitening process if any sensitivity occurs.
  • There is enough gel to get 2-3, 7 day cycles. This varies slightly as some people are happy with the results after only a few days, allowing more to be kept for later. However if you wish to use it for the full 7 days there is enough there to last 2-3 cycles of that.

So to recap….

Did I see a difference, yes I did!

I must point out that due to work / family obligations I wasn’t able to use the kit twice a day for seven days so naturally I would expect that any changes will take longer to notice, but so far I’m happy and will continue to use the kit accordingly.

You know what else is really great about Smiley Miley! For every kit sold they donate $1 towards helping children in developing countries receive cleft surgery, isn’t that awesome! Giving kids the gift of a smile, love it.

Oh and Smiley Miley ships worldwide for FREE.

Check them out here for more info or find them on Facebook and Instagram where you’ll see more guys and gals rocking their Smiley Miley pearly whites!

Until next time,

Valentines Day Giveaway ❤️

Hello 2017, unbelievably we are already down a month…what the!!

I’m so excited to be back for the year and kicking things off with a giveaway,

(But before ya’ll get too excited I have to break the news that this giveaway will be for Perth peeps only – I know, I know it’s not ideal but because part of the prize involves a home visit it just has to be that way!)

Don’t worry though I’ll be having more giveaways this year and I promise it won’t just be for my home town folk.

So let’s talk prizes shall we!

Back at the end of 2016 I was asked if I would like to team up with an amazing make up brand and be a part of their latest on line campaign……hmmmm let me think, getting makeup done professionally and being photographed, no brainer really so of course I said yes.

However…believe me when I say that this was definitely out of my comfort zone – but, I have decided that this year I will endeavour to try new things and go boldly ahead. I know it probably seems strange that a person who shares almost daily photo’s of themselves on the internet would have any hesitation but I did, in fact I was quite the bundle of nerves.

Lucky for me I was working with an incredibly talented, professional and genuinely lovely group of women.

One of which was Ruth Brophy – Intimo Bra Fit Specialist, otherwise known as @irishbralady on Instagram or you can contact her directly

Ruth is just gorgeous, so friendly and easy to talk to plus she really knows her stuff. After meeting Ruth at the photo shoot I had an at home bra fitting with her. I can’t express enough how much more enjoyable bra shopping is when done from the comfort of  your own home! Intimo consultants offer one on one fittings or you can get a group of your gal pals together and make a night of it. So good right, not to mention convenient. Below is the Bellini set that I chose, so lacy and a bit spesh!

Intimo has a great range of everyday bras plus the convertible and active ranges. There’s gorgeous slips and cami’s and even a menswear line! Check them out here

As part of the Valentines Giveaway you can win a $200 voucher to spend on the Intimo range as well as a FREE in home bra fitting with the fabulous Ruth!

I’m sure you all want to see how the makeup and photoshoot went, right? Or at least I’m hoping you want to see them!

But first a little background on Splash Alchemy – created by Jocelyn Derecourt.

Jocelyn has created a makeup line that is ethical and beneficial to skin wellness with antiaging properties. The Natural/Vegan Range of Splash Alchemy uses many certified organic ingredients where possible and is gluten free making it a great choice for people suffering from allergies to gluten.

One of the things I noticed after having my make up done by the lovely Jocelyn herself was just how great it felt on my skin. None of that ‘caked-on’ feeling. Even after I reluctantly washed off my makeup my skin felt beautiful!

Below are the cosmetics included in the giveaway…

Natural Vegan Cream Concealer, Antique Penny Vegan Eyeshadow and Acid Pink Lip Tint that includes a lip brush cleverly designed inside the lid! (the lip tint is a bright hot pink so will look especially great on blondes) Worth over $100 and also cruelty free!

The last but certainly not least portion of the giveaway is a divine smelling Shabchique Pineapple + Mango Soy Bulb Candle. Pure indulgence and perfect for a little Valentines Day pampering! Shabchique is owned by Hayley and she offers a great range of soy candles, melts, gift boxes and personalised candles for your special occasions. You can find Shabchique on Instagram and Facebook and also at a number of local Perth markets, all relevant info is on the website!

Let’s recap shall we!

  • $200 Gift Voucher + Bra Fitting from Ruth and Intimo
  • $112 worth of Splash Alchemy Cosmetics
  • $20 Soy Pineapple + Mango Bulb Candle from Shabchique

I’d would say the lucky winner of over $320 dollars worth of products and service would be well on the way to having an amazing Valentines Day!

Colours of Christmas

Ho ho ho and all that Christmas cheer!

How is everyone tracking this close to the big day?

I’ll be honest, I’m struggling this year this find my Christmas mojo. It’s been an incredibly  hectic last six weeks or so and whilst I’m grateful and excited to be able to finish 2016 riding a wave of successful collaborations, I am spent!

With no plans to head away over the Xmas holidays it will be great to have hubby home to share the workload of ferrying teenagers around plus its always nice to have an another referee around! We do have plans to take a few day trips and head off the beaten track which will be made much easier now that hubby has a new car we can load up, so it’s not all bad!

In fact, to get us all feeling a little more festive I’ve decided tonight should be spent checking out the Xmas lights in the city and stopping by Elizabeth Quay for ice-cream!

Before I head off on a mini blog break I have a stunning jewellery & watch company to share with all…..

Have you heard of The Peach Box?

ThePeachBox is the ultimate fashion jewellery destination for women who love life chic, modern and edgy –

I feel very fortunate to have received a gorgeous watch and bangle from the lovely peeps at The Peach Box and Marc Bale watches, a beautiful gesture in the lead up to Christmas!

Here’s what I chose…

Rose Gold Crystal  Watch – Rose Gold Mesh $199.00 AND Roman Empress Bangle – Rose Gold $45.00

Aren’t they just stunning!

Like I said, I feel very very fortunate to have received such beautiful pieces. I love the rose gold colour which is a nice change from the usual gold and will coordinate with loads of colours easily.

To keep the Christmas spirit going I have a discount code from The Peach Box for all my readers to use right up until the end of January – YAY. So if you have any upcoming celebrations now would be a great time to shop! There’s also a mens range plus it’s not just watches and bangles but also earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings!

Maybe it’s time to treat yo’self!

Add the code ‘THESTYLEWITHIN’ at checkout to take advantage of the extra savings.

And now that will be all from me!

But only for a short while I promise….

I will take a minute though to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year, I hope 2017 brings you more of what you love!

Until next time,

Malinda xxx

Shopping With Gumtree

Hello gorgeous ones,

Hope you’re enjoying this silly season and all that comes with it! For me it’s really just another reason to shop hahaha.

And shopping up a storm is exactly what I’ve been doing thanks to *Gumtree Australia!

By now many of you know how much I love to hunt down a bargain. I don’t mind where I shop and more often than not I tend to look over my local op shops before heading to the big centres, I can almost guarantee I will find what I’m after by checking the preloved goodies first!

Which brings me to todays post and the fun I had with Gumtree and their #OOTD Challenge…. find an outfit on Gumtree, ummm ok that’s too easy!

After spending a few evenings scouring the Gumtree app and website I had found a complete outfit and better yet it was all from one lady  in Melbourne which meant only one postage fee!

Take a look….

Witchery Fashion Shirt Dress originally $140, I paid $70 – Prada Evening Bag $50 and Belt $10

I love this shirt dress, very versatile! Long sleeves for winter and because it buttons all the way down the front, there’s the option to wear it open over something else.

I also purchased the most divine pair of brand new Nine West heels, I didn’t wear them with this outfit as I felt they were a bit heavy  for this look but of course I photographed them!

Screen Shot 2016-12-19 at 3.12.14 PM.png

$50 was all they set me back and you can see by looking at the sole they had never been worn! Amazing

My second outfit consists of a super duper fabulous sparkly sequinned skirt. Now I love anything shiny, its the magpie in me! This stunning Alannah Hill skirt I found here in Perth and you know what was even better than the skirt?

The lovely lady I bought it from! We met at Garden City Shopping Centre and she was so warm and friendly plus she has a ton of stuff that is looking for a new home! After a quick try of the skirt I decided it simply HAD to be mine!

And here it is…

Alannah Hill ‘La Vie En Rose’ Sequin Skirt – Originally $318, I paid $50! (this was a brand new skirt with original tags still on!!)

I’ve paired the skirt with a $10 Calvin Klein singlet I found at my local op shop, it’s a bit shimmery and fun.

I’m still deciding when the shoes will make their first appearance, I actually don’t want to ruin them!

I will admit, much like shopping on eBay I thought Gumtree was predominately for buying cars and furniture but there really are some amazing bargains if your keen to try it out. The Gumtree #OOTD Challenge was to get peeps like you and me approaching shopping on a whole new level as well as keeping the wheels of sustainable fashion turing over!

Until next time,

Malinda xxx

Online Shopping for Super Deals

Yay it’s Friday!

If you’re a mum like me, this will mean very little especially if your kids have already been on holidays for a week like mine have!

But since it is Friday and there’s not many sleeps left until Santa arrives I thought I would share a post on what I’ve been up to lately.

Starting with a recent collaboration I was lucky enough to do with *eBay Australia, basically my job was to find the perfect Christmas Day outfit under $100 from eBay stores….. too easy!

I was really surprised to find that there is a wide range of well known stores selling stock at heavily discounted prices, to me eBay was for buying pre-loved goodies or cheap stuff from the China based stores!

This is the complete list of stores currently selling…

Screen Shot 2016-12-15 at 5.21.21 PM.png

Anyhoo here’s what I found….

City Beach – Mooloola Abia Dress $39.00 (unfortunately it’s now sold out)

I’m a huge fan of the wrap dress as you might know if you saw my last post!  and was very lucky to snap this one up.

And of course you can’t have a fab outfit without equally fabulous shoes!

Wittner – Orange Leather Sandals $59.95 (were $149.95 originally)

And there you have it! A great outfit, under $100 that can be worn for many events well beyond the silly season!

And because I like to make life easier for you guys, here’s three more dresses from City Beach that I thought were great buys!

City Beach – Annabel Dress $59.99

City Beach – Mooloola Ezra Mazi Dress $29.00

What do you think…. have I convinced you take a look at eBay!

Just in case you need another great reason, did you know that some stores offer Click and Collect at Woolworths!

Keep an eye out for my next collaboration with Gumtree Australia, again you won’t believe what bargains I found!

Until next time,
