Hello gorgeous ones,
Hope you’re enjoying this silly season and all that comes with it! For me it’s really just another reason to shop hahaha.
And shopping up a storm is exactly what I’ve been doing thanks to *Gumtree Australia!
By now many of you know how much I love to hunt down a bargain. I don’t mind where I shop and more often than not I tend to look over my local op shops before heading to the big centres, I can almost guarantee I will find what I’m after by checking the preloved goodies first!
Which brings me to todays post and the fun I had with Gumtree and their #OOTD Challenge…. find an outfit on Gumtree, ummm ok that’s too easy!
After spending a few evenings scouring the Gumtree app and website I had found a complete outfit and better yet it was all from one lady in Melbourne which meant only one postage fee!
Take a look….
Witchery Fashion Shirt Dress originally $140, I paid $70 – Prada Evening Bag $50 and Belt $10
I love this shirt dress, very versatile! Long sleeves for winter and because it buttons all the way down the front, there’s the option to wear it open over something else.
I also purchased the most divine pair of brand new Nine West heels, I didn’t wear them with this outfit as I felt they were a bit heavy for this look but of course I photographed them!
$50 was all they set me back and you can see by looking at the sole they had never been worn! Amazing
My second outfit consists of a super duper fabulous sparkly sequinned skirt. Now I love anything shiny, its the magpie in me! This stunning Alannah Hill skirt I found here in Perth and you know what was even better than the skirt?
The lovely lady I bought it from! We met at Garden City Shopping Centre and she was so warm and friendly plus she has a ton of stuff that is looking for a new home! After a quick try of the skirt I decided it simply HAD to be mine!
And here it is…
Alannah Hill ‘La Vie En Rose’ Sequin Skirt – Originally $318, I paid $50! (this was a brand new skirt with original tags still on!!)
I’ve paired the skirt with a $10 Calvin Klein singlet I found at my local op shop, it’s a bit shimmery and fun.
I’m still deciding when the shoes will make their first appearance, I actually don’t want to ruin them!
I will admit, much like shopping on eBay I thought Gumtree was predominately for buying cars and furniture but there really are some amazing bargains if your keen to try it out. The Gumtree #OOTD Challenge was to get peeps like you and me approaching shopping on a whole new level as well as keeping the wheels of sustainable fashion turing over!
Until next time,
Malinda xxx
