Yay it’s Friday!

If you’re a mum like me, this will mean very little especially if your kids have already been on holidays for a week like mine have!

But since it is Friday and there’s not many sleeps left until Santa arrives I thought I would share a post on what I’ve been up to lately.

Starting with a recent collaboration I was lucky enough to do with *eBay Australia, basically my job was to find the perfect Christmas Day outfit under $100 from eBay stores….. too easy!

I was really surprised to find that there is a wide range of well known stores selling stock at heavily discounted prices, to me eBay was for buying pre-loved goodies or cheap stuff from the China based stores!

This is the complete list of stores currently selling…

AMAZING!!

Anyhoo here’s what I found….

City Beach – Mooloola Abia Dress $39.00 (unfortunately it’s now sold out)

I’m a huge fan of the wrap dress as you might know if you saw my last post!  and was very lucky to snap this one up.

And of course you can’t have a fab outfit without equally fabulous shoes!

Wittner – Orange Leather Sandals $59.95 (were $149.95 originally)

And there you have it! A great outfit, under $100 that can be worn for many events well beyond the silly season!

And because I like to make life easier for you guys, here’s three more dresses from City Beach that I thought were great buys!

What do you think…. have I convinced you take a look at eBay!

Just in case you need another great reason, did you know that some stores offer Click and Collect at Woolworths!

Keep an eye out for my next collaboration with Gumtree Australia, again you won’t believe what bargains I found!

Until next time,

A Very Thrifty Christmas with Ocean Keys Shopping Centre

dscn8237

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…… Christmas!

What better way to celebrate than by choosing a new outfit.

I’m so thrilled to have partnered with Ocean Keys Shopping Centre to bring you

‘A Very Thrifty Christmas’

One of the things I love the most about being a stylist / fashion blogger is sourcing outfits that are not just on trend and practical but also affordable.

Wanting an outfit that makes you look and feel fabulous is something a lot of women can relate to. When you factor in the cost per wear of an outfit we all want to stretch those dollars further, especially at this time of year!

That’s where Ocean Keys Shopping Centre offers affordable Christmas fashion for every event. In today’s post I’ve put together three outfits with items purchased at Ocean Keys Shopping Centre and all for less than $150.

When looking for items for your wardrobe this is my best advice –

  • Can I wear it for more than one season or occasion
  • Do I have pieces in my wardrobe that can easily be mixed with it
  • Does it fit me exactly how I want it to
  • Do I feel fabulous wearing it! (the most important tip)

If you answered yes to any of these questions then you’re on your way to finding the perfect outfit for you.

For this post I’ve chosen a wrap dress as the one item that can be styled three ways. I went with a classic navy wrap dress as I like the versatility it offers when adding other items to my look. I also like that a wrap dress is a style that can suit many body shapes and be very flattering. You could of course choose a patterned wrap dress (or any style of dress) and apply the same styling tips…

For example – Heels and statement jewellery look great for a night out whereas the addition of a denim jacket with sandals and a hat will take you to a casual lunch effortlessly.

The wrap dress I’m wearing is a little on the short side (keep in mind I have long legs and a short torso so everything tends to look ‘leggy’ on me!). If you’re not comfortable showing so much leg I would suggest a light denim jean underneath or a ¾ length legging.

Let’s take a look!

Week Four – Family Style

Hello fashionista’s!

Today I’m bringing you great affordable family fashion. I have to say it was nice to be on the other side of the camera for a change snapping pic’s of the kids!

My not so little kids are actually quite easy to please in the clothing department. Miss 14 shares my love of vintage / op-shopped clothes and doesn’t tend to lean toward labels…. yet! And Mr 11 is the most relaxed kid when it comes to clothes and is still quite happy for me to put outfits together for him.

Week Three – His and Her’s

I love my husband!

I know it’s a very soppy way to start a blog post, a post relating to fashion no less but I just had to say it. He’s a good egg, agreeing to be in this post when he would have much preferred to stay inside and watch the footy, especially given the horrendous weather we had in Perth over the weekend!

So yeah, I love him!

Week One – Warm Up For Winter

Hello again lovely people!

Let me ask… do you like winter?

I do!

In fact I absolutely love it,  and one of my most favorite items of clothing for winter is a snugly cardigan. There is nothing better than curling up on the couch in an over sized knit drinking a cup of tea, or is that just me?

For this post I’m sharing two easy looks you can achieve with one cardigan and showing you that a cardigan can be dressed up or down.

Today I’m featuring a gorgeous long line cardigan from Crossroads. I love the pastel pink colour and long length. I also love that it has pockets!

I’ve opted for a neutral colour palette for the dressed up look using a lovely pair of nude heels from Spendless Shoes , jewellery from Colette and bag from Best and Less. The sleeveless knit dress I am wearing comes from Cotton On. I’m a little out of my comfort zone in this dress as it’s quite fitted but I’m loving it with the long cardi and its super comfy!

 { Cotton On Kellie Muscle Midi – Dress $19.95 / Crossroads Cardigan $44.95 / Spendless Shoes Nude Heels $49.95 / Colette Necklace and Cuff $12.95 each / Best & Less Handbag $25.00 }

Here is a closer look at the beautiful jewellery and nude heels…

For look number two I’m thinking of those rainy days curled up on the couch with a cuppa. If you’ve been following my style then you would know how much I love a slogan tee and the one I’m wearing from Supre ticks all the boxes, especially on a Friday! Put on your favourite pair of ripped jeans, (these are from my own wardrobe) comfy shoes and you’re ready to go……. or stay on the couch!

{ Crossroads Cardigan $44.95 / Supre Slogan Tee $12.00 / Best & Less Lace-up’s $12.00 }

Whether your heading out for a girlie lunch, date night with someone special or just relaxing at home a super snugly cardi will see you through those winter days or nights.

Layer up your cardigan with a bright scarf or necklace to add a pop of colour. Pair it with jeans, simple white t-shirt and statement clutch or heels.

The possibilities are endless at Cockburn Gateway Shopping City so get your shopping shoes on and have fun!

Week One – Shades of Grey & Khaki

Hello gorgeous people and Happy Monday, let’s get the party started!

Today is a very exciting day for me. As I announced in Friday’s post I am partnering with Cockburn Gateway Shopping City as style blogger for their Winter Fashion Campaign during the month of May.

I can’t tell you how excited I am to bring you the first of many looks over the next four weeks. I thought I would start the month off on a casual note and share two key items that will be must have’s for your Winter wardrobe.

First up the Sleeveless Knit…

There are a few reasons I chose this particular knit….

  1.  I really like this style of neckline.
  2. It is sleeveless which is perfect for the trans – seasonal weather we are having in Perth at the moment and easy to add layers to when the weather gets colder.
  3. I love that the back is a longer length, great for covering up anything you may want to hide!
  4. Lastly it’s a great neutral colour to have in your wardrobe. Easy to dress up or keep casual and grey is definitely on trend at the moment

I decided to go with really simple accessorizing to complete the look and chose this beautiful Snakeskin Cross Body Bag from Colette along with a silver cuff bracelet also from Colette. I like the way the mix of silver and gold tones look with the grey. The shoes are cute ankle booties from Crossroads and black pants with zip detail are from Paper Scissors.

{Ally Fashion High Neck Knit $29.99 / Paper Scissors Black Pant $19.95 / Crossroads Ankle Booties $34.95 / Colette Peta XBody Bag $19.95 & Cuff Bracelet $12.95 }

And now for look number two featuring another winter staple…

The Khaki Jacket!

Khaki in any way, shape or form is big this season! There are lot’s of ways to incorporate khaki into your wardrobe.  I’m wearing this lovely lightweight jacket from Chicabooti with striped t-shirt from Ally Fashion, clutch from Paper Scissors and check scarf from Big W .

And of course casual chic wouldn’t be complete without comfy lace up’s like these ones from Best & Less!

{Chicabooti Khaki Jacket $50.00/ Paper Scissors Black Pant $19.95 & Clutch $20.00 / Ally Fashion Striped Tee $9.99 / Best & Less Sneakers $12.00 / Big W Scarf $15.00}

And that’s a wrap!

What did you think and what is your HOT trend tip for Winter?

With over 40 fashion stores at Cockburn Gateway I can’t wait to bring you more of the latest winter fashion trends! You all know how much I love to shop and with so much to choose from this is going to be fun, fun, fun so make sure you stick around!
